Mad Red Theatre School - Behaviour Policy


All Youth Theatre Members, Assistants and Leaders must treat each other with respect and courtesy. 

 

The disciplinary process follows the ‘Three Strikes and Out’ rule.

 

·   1st Strike – verbal warning
over 12 years old verbal warning

under 12 years old verbal warning with parents present

 

·   2nd Strike – verbal warning
over 12 years old verbal warning and letter to parents

under 12 years old verbal warning with parents present

 

·   3rd Strike - exclusion
Exclusion from Youth Theatre and letter to parents

 

Behaviour that warrants a verbal warning:

 

·   Minor acts of rudeness and/or disrespecting the leaders and other youth theatre members

·   Failure to act upon a leader’s request

·   Disrespecting or damaging property and/or equipment

·   Taunting of a racist/sexist nature

·   Swearing

·   Smoking

Serious mis-behaviour will warrant direct exclusion and will not be given the two chances of verbal warnings and the member will be asked to leave the Youth Theatre permanently.

 

·   Fighting

·   Intimidation

·   Threatening behaviour toward anyone

·   Bullying

·   Assault

·   Criminal damage

·   Theft

·   Possession of drink or drugs
